Overview

Northern Lights Drone Shows approached me primarily to film aerial content of one of their drone shows, but ultimately I filmed a promotional video for them for web use.

Challenges & Approach

The main challenge was to achieve authentic interview content in a short space of time, since the members of the drone show company were working on preparing a show at the time. To do this I had to ask questions that quickly got to the point and were open and personal enough that they could relax and simply talk about things they are already knowledgeable about. I did this by maintaining a friendly, low-pressure environment.

The other challenge was filming with extreme low-light, since drone shows are primarily nighttime events. This really pushed the gear I had with me.

The result

The final product is now being used as a meet-the-team video on the company's website and gives a personal look at what the employees and owners love about their work.
